TNT Custom Racing is proud to be a part of the 46th Annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing in 2012. Tom Fares Jr., led by crew chief Gary Balough, will be gearing up for the intense 9 day racing event from February 17th-25th, 2012 at Florida’s New Smyrna Speedway.

TNT Custom Racing will be fielding a primary and back-up 07x for Tom Fares, Jr. as he races through six 25-lap races and a finale 50-lap race in the Pro-Late Model division.

Tom Fares Jr. raced to an impressive 11th place finish in the 10th annual Pete Orr-Orange Blossom 100 over the weekend against a field of Super Late Models. Tom, led by crew chief Gary Balough, more then held his own running a crate motor late model against a field of super lates as he was one of only 9 cars running at the drop of the checkered flag. The February 11th, 2012 race at New Smyrna Speedway, Florida drew an experienced field of drivers from all over the the United States.

The race started with a tight running pack:

Gary guided Tom through a number of tight spots and a few wrecks as they cruised through the enduring 100 lap race. At the drop of the checkered flag, Tom was one of 9 cars running on the track and posted an overall finish of 11th place.

Scott Baker claims the win in the Main Event Racing Series opener at Sandusky Speedway. The race was a scheduled 75 laps with an impressive field of 24 Super Late Models. The sky’s let loose to rain half way through the race leaving the field with car covers on and under a red flag for an hour an a half.

The crew at Sandusky worked hard to keep the race going. They dried the track as soon as the rain stopped and restarted the race where Baker led the pack pulling hard all the way to another bout of rain at lap 56 when the race was called. Baker led from lap 19-56 and took the win.

As of January 2011, Baker Race Cars and Baker Performance Parts of 1046 North Munroe Road in Tallmadge, Ohio 44278 have formed a strategic partnership with TNT Custom Racing, Inc.  The Partnership includes larger investments in stocked parts inventories and an expansion into a new location in a 12,000 square foot facility at 4488 Allen Road in Stow, Ohio 44224.  The new facility is conveniently located just off Route 8, with easy trailer access from both Steels Corners Road and Seasons Road exits.  The facility also boasts over 3,000 square feet of mezzanine inventory space and a 1,200 square foot office and parts showroom.

Funding provided the expansions of the part sales business of Baker Performance Parts, including a large increase in stocked parts inventory to more quickly serve the needs of customers.  The partnership will also allow for the expansion of the service business offered by Baker Race Cars with the addition of more lifts, frame tables and clipping stations to further the expansion into 2011.

Scott Baker will remain at the helm of the service department while integrating office functions and retail sales operations with the investor’s existing staff to allow greater focus on serving the needs of the customers.

The partnership and move into the new facility were completed in December 2010 and will be celebrated with an Open House Event Friday, February 4th from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 5th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  We invite our customers and our suppliers to attend this event with us to kick off another great season of racing.
